ABSTRACT The general objective of this project is to carry out a feasibility study for the creation of a company to manufacture baby clothes for families of the middle socioeconomic level of the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra in order to determine its profitability and viability in the textile manufacturing sector. For the study of the present project, interviews were carried out with merchants selling baby clothes and surveys were conducted with mothers/parents of babies from families of the middle socioeconomic level of the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra through which data was obtained to determine the types of products to be manufactured, age range to be covered, and prices at which they are willing to buy the different products. Through the market study it was established that the supply of the product baby clothes does not reach to cover the demand of the baby population so the company has an unsatisfied market which will cover in the first year 25.09% reaching 36.17% in the fifth year. With respect to the issue of the location of distribution stores can be limited that these are in strategic areas of wholesale and retail sales so that sales are made with more profits than those shown in the study because in reality not only sold at wholesale prices, but there will be significant percentages of retail sales which will generate greater income. The project has 2 types of financing: own, carried out by 2 partners and through bank financing for the purchase mainly of fixed assets of the company. This project is feasible whether or not the financing is done through the bank selling the products at competitive prices and also possessing elements of quality, fashion trends and comfort for babies in the middle socioeconomic sector of the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra who are the ones who will finally use the garments.
