3 ABSTRACT DESIGN OF A SPORTS CENTER FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN CARLOS Matthew Salvatierra C. Research Guiding: Architect: Veronica Shirley Arellano Hervoso This project is born of a need since the municipality of San Carlos does not have a sports equipment that covers all sport disciplines, the existing municipal coliseum "November 4" will be refurbished to an Olympic swimming pool by the mayor of the municipality eliminating the spaces of existing activities that are Soccer, Volleyball and Basketball. That is why the authorities of the municipality of San Carlos made known the lack of a complete equipment for the practice of sport and the development of the population. With this project is being designed to design the sports center with the aim of the municipality of San Carlos has a complete sports equipment with activities such as: indoor soccer, basketball, volleyball, boxing, gym, table tennis and chess. These sports facilities are necessary for any society, since in addition to recreating the mind, these help people both in their health and in their emotional development. It is also important to mention that with the design of the sports center we can promote sports talents by serving the facilities as a place of inspiration for the inhabitants. Encouraging them to practice sports can reduce common problems such as crime, alcoholism, drug addiction, etc. Of course the main thing in this is that the inhabitants of the municipality have a healthy and fun development.
