6 ABSTRACT DESIGN OF AN ECOTOURISM COMPLEX WITH LOW ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF VILLA MONTES, GRAN CHACO, TARIJA Bertha Bulacia Lea Plaza Research Tutor: Arch. Alvaro E. Balderrama Guzmán The present work aims to design an Ecotourism Complex with low environmental impact to promote and generate income and diffusion in the rural and urban areas of the city, through the implementation of spaces that support culture, history and education, taking care of the resources that the area offers in the Municipality of Villa Montes, Gran Chaco, Tarija. The methodology used was of an exploratory type since it was analyzed in a medium that was little known due to its physical characteristics, which required an analysis due to the scarcity of information. The research was developed in two stages: the first based on review of bibliographic data through consultation of primary sources; and the second stage based on field experimentation, through observation visits, field surveys, interviews with experts and potential users. Based on the studies carried out, it is concluded that an ecotourism complex with low environmental impact is a fundamental facility that helps promote the development of the region and its inhabitants, through the implementation of efficient functional spaces with low impact criteria, contributing to dissemination and preservation. The study ends with the proposal of an architectural design for an ecotourism complex with low environmental impact in the Municipality of Villa Montes, Gran Chaco Tarija.
