5 ABSTRACT Research and productive development center for the valleys of Santa Cruz, in the municipality of Vallegrande David Alejandro Franco Research advisor: PhD. Ar. Irma Miriam Chugar Zubieta This project aims to design a research and productive development center for the Santa Cruz valleys through research and sustainable solutions to new social and environmental challenges in order to mitigate the effects of climate change. The methodology used allowed for an in-depth understanding of the central problem of the subject, to objectively address the architectural project, the methodology used was descriptive through review, observation and analysis of information; through documentary research with bibliographic backing from primary and secondary sources such as the book Cuaderno histórico de la ciudad de Jesús y montes claros de los caballeros del Vallegrande, four hundred and five years of history 1612 to 2012 and the Plan territorial de desarrollo integral, analysis of the community and its territory, interviews with key people and an exploratory analysis with field studies conducted in the municipality. A research and productive development center is a place where it hosts research activities that seek to open new knowledge around a topic, development that seeks to solve problems through methods, techniques and production processes as well as implement exhibition spaces where it seeks to stimulate society to see and address the issues of their community.
