6 ABSTRACT DESIGN OF A COMPREHENSIVE CENTER FOR THE ELDERLY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF COTOCA, SANTA CRUZ DE LA SIERRA Karen Yamile Montecinos Ribera The objective of this project is to design a Comprehensive Center for the elderly Induced to be a space of therapy and care, with the purpose of providing a healthy, active and productive old age, in order to improve the quality of life, in the municipality of Cotoca, department of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The methodology used was to carry out visits to centers and homes that fulfilled a service for the elderly, as well as the review of bibliographic sources of primary sources, such as books, normative compendiums for the elderly, scientific articles and secondary sources such as magazines, articles and websites. A physical survey of the land where the project will be implemented was carried out, observing its immediate surroundings, a photographic monitoring of nursing homes and the land was attached. We conclude by understanding that a comprehensive center is a necessary equipment so that older adults can receive the care they need, thus allowing them to have an active old age, through integration with society. Therefore, the study ends with the architectural design of a comprehensive center for the elderly in the municipality of Cotoca in the department of Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
