ABSTRACT Scientific research deals with the administrative reorganization of a business of a family called FERROCOLOR SRL that seeks to optimize business management in the sector of construction materials in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. In the theoretical framework the research variables concerning the relationship between strategy and structure, organizational manuals, processes and administrative procedures as a reference and details of the economic movement of the commercial sector have addressed. The field work consists of conducting surveys to employees, customers, suppliers and agents of interest and the person of the owner as the leader of the business. Key findings knowledge gaps regarding the handling of documents and informality in the commercial management of the business was taken. Finally a new organizational structure accompanied by a manual of functions, procedures, policies and security for FERROCOLOR SRL was proposed.
