ABSTRACT On April 16th, 2004, the decentralized company Frigorifico Municipal Pampa de la Isla (FRIMUP) was created, as a specialized technical body of the Municipal Government of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, with its own legal personality, autonomy of technical, administrative and financial management. Currently FRIMUP provides approximately 60% of the meat from the local market. The degree project was carried out in the Department of Industrial Safety and Environment. The objective of this project is to develop an occupational health and safety program based on the NTS-009/18 through different procedures and tools that allow to improve current working conditions and thus be able to reduce the number of occupational accidents, create a culture of prevention and contribute to a safer work environment. To carry out this work, a diagnosis was made based on national regulations (NTS 009/18 and Ley 16998) to verify the degree of compliance that the company had in terms of the articles and points applicable to the processes of the company. Similarly, methodologies such as the IPER matrix for hazard identification and risk assessment and the REBA method for ergonomic workplace evaluation were applied. Studies of the work environment (light and noise) were also carried out with equipment provided by the university. The main finding was that the company had mostly a partial progress in terms of the points of the regulation and not full compliance, so it was necessary to design the program so that the company can have a support and reference tool to advance in terms of safety and health at work. Adding to this, it was found that workers were constantly exposed to different operational risks in their jobs. Based on what was obtained through the diagnosis, the design of the program was made, adding recommendations to improve the conditions of the work environment and thus contribute to a safer environment. Finally, based on the different proposals, a prioritization matrix was made as a guide when implementing the program, this in order to facilitate the company which points would be
